About the Global Credit Certificate

The Global Credit Certificate (GCC) provides a compact, rigorous grounding in corporate and bank credit, designed specifically for those who work in credit-focused roles.

The GCC is a practical and modern qualification which focuses on applying credit skills and covers current topics such as ESG and impact of tech on credit.

When candidates pass both levels of the GCC, they achieve the professional designation ‘MICP’ (Member of the Global Institute of Credit Professionals) demonstrating their expertise, along with access to exclusive alumni benefits from the Institute.

The certificate is a two-part program:

  • Level 1 focuses on building credit knowledge, addressing the concepts and principles that drive credit decisions and the underlying analysis that contributes to them. These fundamental topics are presented and assessed from a credit analysis perspective.

  • The learnings are developed further in level 2, which focuses on developing your credit skills and applying them to real-world scenarios.

Candidate Journey

The amount of time necessary to complete the GCC level 1 varies based on your experience. If you have little prior experience you may need 50-100 hours of study.

Who Should Attend?

The GCC is suitable for those in the early stages of their career or those seeking a recognized certification to demonstrate their expertise.

From relationship managers and credit analysts to risk managers and investment managers, the GCC is your gateway to success.
